Sanket Sahoo is a Cybersecurity professional by career and an Art and Craft teacher by passion. He finds true fulfillment in nurturing creativity in young artists through hands-on art and craft learning. Since 2023, he has been guiding students to explore their imagination, experiment with colors and materials, and build strong artistic and self-expression skills. He works with learners of all age groups across multiple states in the USA and is well regarded for his gentle, engaging teaching style and his thoughtful integration of creativity, cultural values, and global festivals into his lessons.

Tripti Agarwal has been volunteering as a Hindi teacher for the past three years. She is passionate about helping children connect with the Hindi language and Indian culture in a joyful and meaningful way. Through reading, writing, recitation and stories, she encourages students to build confidence and develop a love for learning. Teaching Hindi is not just about language for her but about nurturing values, expression and cultural roots. She feels grateful to be part of the children’s learning journey and to serve the community through education.

Tripti Agarwal - Hindi Teacher, volunteering since 2023
Arpita Maheshwary is an IT engineer working with a government organization, and a passionate educator since 2025, who finds deep purpose in teaching young children. Among her many interests and activities, teaching Hindi to kids holds a very special place in her heart.
Arpita believes that a child’s innocence and curiosity are sacred, and when nurtured with patience and care, learning becomes a natural and happy process. Interacting with children, listening to their thoughts, and watching them express themselves brings her immense inner calm and fulfillment.

Arpita Maheshwary - Hindi Teacher, volunteering since 2025
Anushri Joshi is a data professional working as a research analyst, with experience applying data-driven insights in the edtech sector to improve learning outcomes. A Teach For India alum, she has worked closely with students and communities from diverse backgrounds, strengthening her commitment to educational equity and community impact. Through volunteering, she is passionate about teaching Hindi to children and creating inclusive, engaging learning spaces where language becomes a tool for confidence, connection, and self-expression.

Shantha Sekhar. She was working as a Quality Analyst.
She is one of our Samskar teachers who teaches Balya group for the past two years.
She has been teaching children for a decade. She loves to teach kids of various age groups
Shlokas, Bhajans, Puranic stories, Sanskrit, textslike Bhagavad Gita, Bhagawatham that gives a good exposure to our Vedic culture/ principles of Hinduism.
She is very passionate about helping children understand our culture and traditions and has taught at various religious institutions for about 10 years

Shantha Sekhar - Samskar Teacher, volunteering since 2024
Rupa Tarway, originally from Bihar, India, and now residing in Fulshear, Texas, is an accomplished Indian folk artist specializing in Mithila (Madhubani) Art. She holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration and is a certified Mithila Art teacher. Since 2017, she has worked in the USA, teaching art, math, and science to children. She loves teaching art to various age groups in both India and the United States.

She has collaborated with national-, state-, and Padma Shri award winners in the Mithila art tradition. She is associated with the Fort Bend Art Center and is a Fort Bend LSAG award winner. Rupa promotes art through exhibitions, workshops, and educational programs. She is the founder of Tarway’s Root and Reveries Art.

Chirasmita Sahoo, originally from Odisha, India, is an IT professional by profession and a passionate Odia language teacher by heart. Since 2023, she has been teaching children Odia with the goal of helping them read, write, and speak the language with confidence.

For Chirasmita, Odia is not just a language—it is a bridge that connects children to their roots, culture, family, and identity. Through engaging and age-appropriate teaching methods, she strives to nurture a love for the language while strengthening children’s bond with their heritage. Her teaching reflects a deep belief that learning one’s mother tongue builds pride, belonging, and lifelong cultural connection.

Chirasmita Sahoo- Odia Teacher, volunteering since 2023
Smrutirekha Jena, originally from Puri, Odisha now living in Katy Texas is deeply passionate about teaching and preserving cultural traditions. Motivated by her love for children and her dedication to the Odia language, she teaches Odia since 2022. Her time with the children is filled with joy, and she strives to make every learning experience both engaging and meaningful

Smruitrekha Jena- Odia Teacher, volunteering since 2022
Dr. Durba Mishra is a practicing Internal Medicine physician with a deep passion for
value-based education for children. In 2018, she co-founded the BSYV (Bhasha, Samskar,
Yoga, Vedanta) program along with a group of dedicated volunteers. What began as Yoga,
Odia, and Samskar classes conducted at her home transitioned into virtual learning during the
COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. Since then, the program has continued to grow, inspiring many
volunteers to join and expand its offerings. Today, BSYV includes multiple language classes, art
classes, and a three-level Samskar curriculum. Dr. Mishra envisions nurturing young minds with
Vedic values and the rich wisdom of Hinduism, empowering children to feel proud of their culture, religion & heritage.

Durba Mishra- Samskar Teacher, volunteering since 2018
Minati Mohapatra is a dedicated educator with 30 years of experience teaching mathematics and science at the high school level. She holds a Master's degree in Anthropology and B.E.d. She has also served as headmistress at a Government High School for over three years, providing academic leadership and supporting student development.
She is passionate about cooking traditional Odia delicacies and creative activities, such as stitching, embroidery, and arts and crafts. For over two years, she has been an active member of the BSYV community, contributing to promoting Odia literature and cultural traditions among young children.
Her journey reflects her dedication to education, culture, creativity and community service.
